The Rotary Club of New Hartford has found a new home at Preswick Glen. The weekly meetings will now be held at the independent senior living community.
“We are always looking for ways to expand our reach and make a difference in the community. Preswick Glen is an optimal location thanks to their accommodations, technology, shared beliefs in the well-being of the community, and terrific in-house lunch crafted by Chef Bryan,” said George Carpenter, President of the Rotary Club of New Hartford. “They are the perfect host for us.”
Preswick Glen is committed to providing its residents with the highest quality of life. The Rotary Club of New Hartford is also a service organization that is committed to improving the lives of others. The partnership between the two organizations is a natural fit.
“Rotary is a fantastic organization which has a long history of doing great work locally, and across the globe,” said Gary Holeck, Executive Director of Preswick Glen. He continued, “The partnership made sense for Preswick Glen as many of the philanthropic and humanitarian goals are shared by our residents. We feel honored they have chosen us as the location to hold their meetings.”
The Rotary Club of New Hartford draws up action plans to find solutions to issues facing the community. Some of their recent work includes providing books to kindergarteners in New Hartford, financially assisting high school musicians, planting over 100 trees along the Sauquoit Creek, and supporting local veterans with clothing and food drives.
Holeck added, “There may be a direct opportunity to be of service to the Preswick Glen population in the future to supplement the service the Club does in the area. We enjoy our current collaboration and are excited to see what the future holds in helping our immediate community and the New Hartford community as a whole.”
